The project group has partnered up to create the framework for their pupils to develop the ability to comprehend the surrounding world by means of insights into worldwide life experiences, exercise and improve their language and literacy skills through eloquent innovative learning settings, as communication abilities represent a key element to ensure achievement in life.

Storytelling is a distinctive approach for children to develop understanding, respect and gratitude for other cultures, stimulate positive attitude towards individuals with different roots, races and religions. Moreover, stories and storytelling inspire children’s education and imagination, provide problem-solving keys, encourage them to communicate assertively, develop their emotional intelligence and collaborate with the peers.

The five partner schools from Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Romania and Turkey, share the common concern that is to produce an attractive system of learning and teaching grounded on storytelling, filling it with a variety of stimulating, ingenious methods and approaches that will be tailored to fit the needs of their young learners’ profile. Thus, the lesson scripts designed during the mission of this project are expected to strengthen communication amid target group of young learners, bond with their peers and share their particular experiences due to the language learnt that they will use to shape their feelings, emotions and thoughts.

Throughout the project, we will relate the new methods, tactics and tools through a diversity of online and offline actions with our young learners, measure the influence and efficiency. All educational tools are designed through interchange of ideas amongst educators in project group who will put across their vision about the project focus and worthwhile previous knowledge, which will be deepened during the five joint-staff training meetings. Each LTTA will deal a specific topic; the results will involve a common framework to instrument storytelling methods in current teaching practices and devices to assess impact on young learners’ academic performance.
